This is a very nice composition.  I like the figure to the side but she looks cartoonish which takes away from the overall effect.  I'm not sure how small you would have to go to "flesh her out" You might be better with a very clear stark silhouette for the figure.  I love the atmospheric quality of the rail yard contrasted to the shininess of the rails.
