When I read the title, I swear it sounded so familiar...and then when I saw "Steve Roach" in the comments, I thought to myself "Oh wow, someone else who knows his work! Awesome!"
The title fits this perfectly...it's beautiful, just like the pieces of music that Steve Roach has composed.

And here I thought the title was inspired by Salvador Dali.
The piece is beautiful regardless. I freaking love terraspace art in general and this is no exception.

So here’s the story I get from this image and the title you gave it:
The Earth is gone, but somewhere on the Moon, humanity lives goes on and remembers what its old home gave it.
It’s a very whimsical image, with some gorgeous colours. The choice of camels as a subject makes me think of a journey; either metaphorical from past to future, or in search of knowledge, or a literal one across this barren landscape.
One thing that bugs me very slightly, is the light source. I’d expect, from its size, for the main light to come from the central feature – but the camel and man’s shadows seem to come instead from the smaller light to the lower right (or an off-screen source). The rocks don’t have a very clear light, so it’s hard to compare, it just stands out a little to me.
The only other thing I think, is that the sky is quite light, almost washed out as if you’ve adjusted the brightness filter too high. I think to mirror the dark of the land, you could darken up the top of the sky too and help tie the two parts together.
Otherwise, it’s a really lovely manipulation that tells a story – a story that is whatever the viewer makes it.

Hi, I'm here to give this beautiful piece a critique !
Just a heads up, this is my first time critiquing a photo-manipulation, so feel free to correct any mistakes that I make .
You've really created a very beautiful and breathtaking scene - the man and camels go perfectly and convincingly with the landscape, and the colors of the landscape go perfectly well with both the colors in the sky and the rings around the star. Although the man and camels are alone in a vast desert, I get a feeling of harmony from the scene due to its beauty, rather than desolation. You've done an amazing job !
One thing that bothers me about the piece is how diffuse the illumination is around the star. Even a star like the sun doesn't give off a particularly diffuse light, unless solar flares are taken into account (in which case, the illumination would look quite different). As a result, I can't help but feel that a supernova would've been a more suitable center for the rings, rather than the star. Moreover, based on the location and intensity of the star, I expected the shadows of the man and camels to be to their right, rather than their left.
Hope this helps, and have a wonderful day !
