Beautiful. I love that you were so brave with your use of color. Each splash and the way you chose to blend them is what makes this image so interesting. What makes it believable is your attention to detail: the light atmospheric glow on the horizon, the apparent reflection of light of different kinds... and lastly the vignette adds that last bit of believability that this is simply a photograph.
I've been making similar compositions and I find that the use of a silhouetted (or nearly silhouetted) figure works much better than when you show a face or don't use a person at all. Any thoughts on this?
