Even as a data copy, the pain was undeniably there – the pain he felt for leaving Axel, the pain he felt when he watched that raven haired friend die in front of him, the pain he felt for putting faith in his "so called friends" when they were only illusions. However the boy seemed to be less painful and somewhat relieved after Sora's words.
He then faded away with a peace mind, he wanted to be somewhere else, somewhere that he was most familiar with; the nostalgic peace that would make his panic and confusion back then seemed to disappear.

I was about to say that a lot of fanarts show Sora or Axel or Roxas,.... eating a seasalt icecream. And after a time you are just tired seeing it all over again. It is mainstream to draw it....means everyone draw it, that's not creative. ^^
