Holy crap it actually kind of looks like Ray!Decided to pull an all nighter for the hell of it and work on the Ray painting :3
Would you believe me if I told you I never have painted a beard/mustache before? Yea I probably wouldn't neither, well I honestly never have until now lol
kind of ignore the skin tones of Tuxedo Steve (minecraft) I plan on toughing that up later bc it just looks weird to me
but like always, let me know what you think~

IF ANYONE HAS AN IDEA WHAT COLOR THE BACKGROUND BEHIND RAY SHOULD BE HELP ME OUT!~
I WANT TO HAVE SOME LIGHT CHANGE IN THE COLOR, BUT PRETTY MUCH I WANT A SINGLE OFF-PASTEL
COLOR. ...I'M STUCK ON IT AND IM OPEN TO ANY IDEAS

You could colour the background blue, making it lighter as you go towards the top left corner. Like This? does that make any sense....

I do really like this color (if it was toned down just a bit) and the idea for the value (I love that you
gave me something to reference btw), it may work, though the one notion about it I have is that,
being Applejack's complementary color (blue and orange) it might make her come too forward
into space where Ray might go too back into space... in other words: AJ might become the focal
point and the first thing everyone sees when looking at the painting... BUT I do have Scott Pilgrim
almost done (not shown) and he does have a very similar color pallet to AJ so it may balance out
the piece... The color idea you gave me is now one of my choices! Thanks for the feed back!~

So, I ended up going with an off-pastel darker green color, but honestly I had both your blue and
the green on a splotch paper pinned up next to the painting and I walked around my painting studio
several times, talked to myself, and used my imagination trying to figure out what to use as the
background color haha! Thanks again for the suggestion though
