as her feet carried her through the door, nova could feel the room transforming around her. the walls seemed to be made out of velvet, and she felt like her feet were sinking into the floor with each wary step. her eyes focused on the only light that was coming from the far end of the room, directly in front of her...and then she heard it again..that otherworldly laughter...she tried to figure out which direction it was coming from, but it seemed to be swirling all around her..she looked again towards the sliver of light..in that space, stood two garish creatures with hideous grins on their faces...she was afraid to look into their eyes...their feet...they seemed to be suspended in midair...were they ghosts?? it was THEM. they were the ones who had been inside her head...the nameless ones, calling her name, beckoning her to the catacombs...now there they were, standing at the door, beckoning her to them once more...as she got closer, the faint smell of ether filled her nostrils and made her quite dizzy...it seemed to be seeping in from under the door. she had finally reached the catacombs. they lie right behind that door...
