Design Banagi Contest - (OPEN) Here we are with a new CONTEST. This time I need Banagi the Hyena Design. Rules:- NO STOLEN OR TRACED DESIGNS AND LINEARTS.- Winner will not be chosen due to their skill in their art or Style. Only by creativity. - You can submit more than 1 entries. - Using Base is ok but painting it yourself has bigger chance to win. - Traditional art is ok but details and colors should be visible.- If you win I will have all the rights to the design, including changing name, adding another story or selling him (no higher than the prize price, only if it gets no more arts )- I can add small changes like removing or adding beard, scar and … - Only Adult Male Hyena. Neither Female nor Pup.- Only Full body. No bust. (shading is not obligatory. ) - You can follow my preferences for his design it will raise your chance to win. :)This time there is only 1 winner.- If you didn't win, you can trade, resell or do whatever you want with design. My Preferences:- It can be stripped or spotted Hyena. I don't mind.- Not too dark and not too bright. - Long mane or gothic style mane (I love Gothic styles so much :3 )- I like that you give Hyena gothic styles but it is not obligatory. - be creative ^^- Adding Scars or blindness is ok but No Maim. - He has to have bulky body alittle and fierce look. - No bright brown or red color for his fur. thankyou Deadline: 20th December Note: If there won't be more than 13 entries and participants I will cancel the contest.Prizes: $40 or 3500 + 1 unshaded Fullbody art + 1 month Coreexample: ,,,

I blocked the idea for these down a while back but only just finished these yesterday. Outside of a general description there was no backstory or expansive limitations so i was able to come up with quite a few designs, some fitting the prompt more than others.
Also there was a 5th more goth/punk design but i found him looking near identical to some entries already submitted so he will probably never see the light of day XD.

From left to right:

TOP LEFT- Friendly Banagi. This version of banagi climbed the ranks with his good natured approach. A friend to all in the clan and initially an indespensible hunter he was basically voted in as leader by his clanmates. Even with his newfound power he remained the same preferring to befriend allies over subduing enemies.

            Distinguishing features/additional info-
1-Given the name chicken scratch as a cub because of his fur texture.
2- Has ''cluster spots'', which appear exclusively on his back.
3-Has a stumpy-ish tail, not due to any injury he was born with it, coupled with his fur texture,it resembles a pompom.

TOP RIGHT-Pretty boy Banagi. A rather unusual spotted hyena. His looks often caught the eyes of many ladies, and he was never one to refuse attention and so he went on to sire many many cubs. With the adoration and support of his large dominant admiriers and mates he usurped the position of clan leader. He is more of the carefree type and though he holds the official title his underlings are almost always the ones saddled with responsibility.

            Distinguishing features/additional info-
1-Prominent underbelly fur.
2- De-localized spot pattern.
3- Constantly hooded eyes.
4- Whiskers.
5- Slightly floppy left ear.
6- Mane hangs to the side like that of a horse's.

BOTTOM LEFT-Aggro Banagi Tired of the hard more lonesome life of striped hyenas and ticked of by the bullying he suffered from the local hyena clan, Banagi became determined to gain the security that life in a group seemed to give. If lions and spotted hyenas could, then why couldn't striped hyenas? But his attempts to unite some of his own kind failed as ultimately they preferred solitary life. Thinking of the next best thing to be joining a spotted clan, Banagi tried his luck, introducing himself to the local clan leader and asking to join. Of course he was scoffed at, and the clan's hysterical laughter followed him as he left, dejected. But he did not give up. So they thought he was too weak did they? And too small to be of use? He would show them. And that he did, he returned, challenged the leader (a hyena twice his size and weight) and defeated her, not only seizing control but making an example of her, chasing her off, maimed and beaten. Banagi knew that the shock of seeing him defeat their leader with such savagery would keep the clan in check for a while, but eventually they would reject him and try pushing him out and with all the effort he put into takin over and the plans, the visions he had for the clan...he couldn't let them. And so he began sending clear messages "I may be smaller but i am NOT to be messed with". Any act of defiance was met with swift and merciless violence, until, eventually the clan begrudgingly submitted to his leadership.

              Distinguishing features/additional info-
1- Upright mane runs all the way down his back and neck.
2- Incomplete/ fading stripe pattern.
3- dark underbelly.

BOTTOM RIGHT-Born leader banagi. A version where he ascends to leadership partially by birthright. Outside of fighting to further establish himself in the clan pecking order the leaders of the clan historically came from his lineage. He is heathy, heavy set and well trained in leadership by his mother who was matriarch before him. He is dominant but not one to fight without reason and his size and healthy appearance deter most other clans and small carnivores from messing with the clan. As a result his clanmates admire and respect him.

                Distinguishing features/additional info-
1-No distinct mane colour.
2- Sparse spotting.
3- Heavy yet healthy frame.
4- Fluffy underbelly.
5- Slight heterochromia.
6- light patch on nose.


Also im not sure of my odds of winning but these will for sure go up for adoption if not chosen.
