Sadly, the episode that seemed like it was gonna be climactic-the seventh and last Rainbow Crystal is found in this episode!-turned out to be a comic relief episode before the real climax episodes of the Rainbow Crystal storyline of the Dark Kingdom arc.
This episode features Zoicite doing an impression of the Rat King from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mars shipping Luna with the seventh Great Monster, and is infamous for the scene where Moon stumbles and trips up Mercury, they fall down and get stuck in a narrow alley, Mercury's butt is in the air with Jupiter looking up her skirt instead of pulling her out, and Zoicite blows them off and leaves instead of goring out their brains with his crystal daggers while they're stuck and saving the Dark Kingdom.

The whole point of the Rainbow Crystal substory was to give Naoko Takeuchi more time to come-up with more storyline for the Manga, ALL the subplots were.

The Rainbow Crystal episodes may have been filler, but most of them weren't comic relief filler, so I was surprised at how that episode turned out.
I liked Rhett Butler and his Tuxedo Mask-spoofing rescues of Luna, though, and that part being comedy makes sense because that ship was doomed from the beginning (because Luna's true soulmate is Artemis!
