the color combination is so pretty. black and red is great together. only the inclusion of white could make it better. i like how there's only the red lanterns cutting through the blackness with no other additions or accessories distracting the eye.

One of my favourite color combination is black and red... I think they are two colors complementing each other quite well, and so they do in this photograph ^^ And the perspective somehow make the lanterns tray look like a red caterpillar raising his head and staring at you, at least in the small thumbnail of the photo :3

ooOOooo. very lovely! I quite enjoy the redness. And how it reminds me of jellyfish. (not sure why, but I love lights that remind me of jellyfish. Jellyfish themselves I quite loathe...)

Great contrast between the black and red, iv'e always liked does two colors haha. Although the little red light at the right bothers me a bit, but it's just so small that doesn't ruin the picture.
salud!

The composition is great,
The blury depth really adds to the perspective of the photo,
I like the combination of dark and light colours,
That's a very good capture.

Nice abstract image, red on black will always work well together. I would seriously consider removing the small section of red lantern that is peeking in on the right hand edge of the frame. It's a distraction

Sounds like a lot of fun! I'm looking forward to Japan and will probably load lots of pics when I get back. I don't know if I'll get lanterns though, the red ones are generally Chinese, right? Anyhow, enjoy this year's festival!
