vision (4.5/5)
I'd agree that there's not much room for artistic vision in simplistic icons, but I think you did a great job in translating your style to pixel art! the characters are cute and appealing as well, so I reckon all of your goals were achieved almost perfectly here, hence the 4.5 stars!

originality (4.5/5)
this is a totally delightful style for pixels. I love the small faces, chunky legs and overall chibi style of these icons, and I think the blend of muted greys and pastels with neons was interesting and unique for pixel art of this scale, even if it did cost you a little 'legibility', which I'll talk about later

technique (3.5/5)
your lines are thin and precise as pixel art (usually) should be, which is lovely. even on zooming in they look incredibly neat, and the white outline means that they can be clearly viewed on any background! onto the issue of 'legibility', I think that the neons and the black overpower these icons a little? like especially on the middle one I think maybe you should've either dulled down the neons or linearted with a slightly darker grey because there's almost a little too much going on there to be able to focus on how cure the character is!

also the beanie should perhaps be a slightly lighter grey or with a hint of some colour? perhaps that's a matter of taste, but I find that with pixels like these, when they're otherwise pastel coloured, near-pure black can be too high contrast! you also have an isolated black pixel on the leg of the foxfan which looks a little awkward with nothing to blend it into the dull greens. the rest of the isolated black pixels actually look nice though, I think, they add to the texture really nicely in a very simple way!

I agree that the olive green on the beanie should've been dithered as well, that would have been a nice choice, perhaps within some of the magenta as well, to fade a purer shade into a lighter pink? that way you could retain the accurate colours while making it less neon and distracting

impact (4.5/5)
these icons totally knocked it out of the park, cuteness-wise! I adore them and I think they look pleasingly simple but complex enough to look at them for quite a while, and posed sweetly too! icons are basically the face of a person online, and I think these would do the job perfectly with their expressiveness and cute feel. as other have said, the poses are sometimes a little stiff, especially the legs, so maybe work on that? it takes away from how natural the poses look at second glance, though it doesn't look overtly awkward at this small size.

overall, I think your colour choices were on point and your lineart was rarely a pixel out of place! these are adorably cute lil beans and I can't wait to buy one!

TO ME I HONESTLY THINK THAT FOR YOUR FIRST TIME DRAWING CANINE ICONS THESE ARE SO GOOD??? and ive seen A LOT of icons, i thought you did this all the time!! i can tell this is your style based on how you did the eyes all chibi like and the anatomy with their little chubby bodies and tiny paws (they're so cute and smol ee) but i just adore these icons!! I can tell you put time and effort into making these babies and i would just love to see more of these icons from you in the future!! Keep it up friend!!

vision -- 4.5 / 5
being a pixel icon there's not much room for a grand artistic vision, but as this is your first time making canine icons, i can really see you experimenting with different poses, styles (particularly eye styles), while still maintaining a pixel style that resembles your other art -- meaning that it is recognizable as your work! i think that's great and there is a lot of potential for your pixels.

originality -- 4.5 / 5
while there are many different pixel styles, there's only a 50x50 canvas so it's definitely hard to make your work stand out. your icons, while similar to some i've seen, do show a lot of originality. this is because you use very nice and soft lines, while still adding bright and crisp colors ( that's impressive for a first time! ) i think the poses that you use are unique, and technique wise are excellently executed -- there's no confusion over whether a paw is here or there.

also, considering that foxfans are a popular closed species and there are many different icons made for them, you've made a pose and coloring/shading style that i've never seen before! i'd love to see future pixels for other popular closed species to see what you can do with those c:

technique -- 5/5
wow. your lines are so nice and neat, and you color your lineart without making the shapes less defined. i think this is one of the strongest points in your pixels - they are very clear. some pixels, when not well executed, can cause confusion over what is what, but your pixels do not have this problem. you are also able to portray different characters through your pixels with your unique poses ( for example, i get the vibe that your foxfan is a shy and serene personality from this pixel. i may be wrong though, haha )

as for improvements, i do think you could perhaps shade a little more, and some of the places could use some blending / dithering to make the transitions between colors less abrupt ( for example, in the last icon, the beanie has a sort of olive green area on the left that cuts off very sharply into the black. adding some dithering there would make it look more smooth! )

however, your use of colors is lovely because they're very vibrant and lively without being an eyesore. i will say that there is a bit of white space in some areas that could be shaded, however, the cleanliness of your pixels is what makes them unique so it's your choice whether to change! you can always give it a try and see what you like best. c:

also, i'm sure you animated all three of them as the icon you're using is animated, but i'd love to see what animations you came up with for the other two! animation is a great way to make your pixels stand out and also helps to bring them to life.

impact -- 4.5/5

if i saw your pixels without any knowledge about your art style or anything, i would be incredibly surprised to hear that this is your first time with canine icons. they are very nicely executed overall and i think that we'll be seeing plenty more incredible icons from you in the future! (also, based on these pixels, i'd love to see some pagedolls or larger pixels!) great job c:

Well, let's see. The one on the right is very cute but it could use some work on its face; it looks a bit blurry. The one in the middle has a posture that doesn't look very good (as in uncomfortable). I would think it had broken a paw or two laying like that. Those are the only bad things I can really point out. Moving on to the good things!~

They're all very cute and the colors they have go well together. Rather than having random shades of colors you made sure they went well together and that's very impressive. The looks they have show emotions that go with their looks as well. All in all, turning your OCs into small icons like this was something you seem to have already almost perfectly mastered with just a little space for some improvement.~
