Well, it's here! Sunday has arrived, and you all have spoken. Out of all the sketches drawn thus far, at the time I started this drawing Tails received the most favs at 14 fav+'s! Coming second was Tifa at 12, I think.

I was actually kind of glad, since the sketch I had done was already quite workable to begin with. I thought it would be an easy drive coloring it... but as I started, I noticed the lineart was lower quality then I had realized, and fixing it was simply not an option... So I ended up re-lining the whole thing (which allowed me to make a slightly bigger version as well). Fortunately it's not an incredibly complex style so it didn't take THAT long... it was just boring. But I didn't want to be lazy, so I just did it. >_< I have to stop being such a baby.

Coloring Tails himself was very easy. I couldn't quite emulate the way he's colored in most official art so I simplified it to what you see here. There isn't much need for shading or anything, so I took a relaxed approach. Instead, I went crazy with the background. XD For the background I wanted to paint the first level of Sonic 2, Emerald Hill Zone. So I looked up screenshots and used one with part of a loop-de-loop in it (which is what's behind Tails). I love free-hand painting things digitally. It's fun to just mess around with colors and form shapes without really relying too much on proper lines.

The most challenging part was the foreground with the grass and checkerboard ground. I didn't really measure anything, so it has character But it took awhile anyway. I'm actually quite pleased with it.

I just want to thank everyone who has looked, commented, and/or faved my sketches thus far. I really appreciate it, and I'll try to keep doing my best this week as well. You all do your best too!!
