-GASP- what's this?Chelsea actually drew inspiration from Karbo?
Damn straight she did!
I always loved the detail that Karbo has in his lineart, albeit it not being in the hair and more in the backgrounds. I've been working on this for a couple of days now, and the hair was going along GREAT, its just that her tail is giving me grief. I'll get this one done though, The Moon is my favorite of all of the cards.
There's more to the background and stuff, but I'm not sure how I'd lineart a moon, rainbow or a cloud

Ah, the hatching style. I haven't found a good way to express that in the computer so much as I have on paper with a pen or pencil.

*nods* I'm fairly confident that you pulled that off. You're right that Karbo does use the hatching style in the background but few realize that american comics use it on their characters too.
I feel you pulled this off fairly well so far. I can't wait to see this completed.

I always hatch that kind of hairstyle...not really sure why, I just do
