It was s'posta be Executor Pallin today. BUT YOU GET LORIK INSTEAD. I mean, I just did Chellick, Pallin would have been the logical next step. Pies, fingers!
The problem was that I just didn't have the brains to pull that one off any better than Pallin himself did. Haven't been sleeping well lately, folks! And if I go that route, it's gonna take a very deft touch...So... Lorik Qui'in instead today, Saying That Thing He Said In The Game! Noveria at night, because he's been drinking ALL DAY.
I'd like to keep on with turians, but I may just have to do have a quick break and do Thane next. I have something extra juvenile to re-contextualize for that guy!

Indeed, I love this guy. And I had such a laugh when he said that thing about conversations, and wondered if humans considered it a kind of imprisonment, because Shepard said she/he would 'let him go'. Brilliant.
I'm just curious though, do you think turians actually speak English or do we communicate with them via translators? If it's the latter, you might think that some phrases get mangled enough to be incomprehensible.

Actually, I think the whole language barrier is something that's been grossly simplified for the sake of story immersion. I believe canon is that most characters are translated through one's omni-tool. But if that's the case, that the omni-tool is supplying audio translations of turians, drell, asari, salarians, hanar (who actually communicate by flashing light and not vocalizing), everybody... the way their mouth and lips move, if applicable, should not even match up with what we 'hear' them say.
But I can forgive that little thing because, otherwise, we'd be interacting with everyone on a delay and it would I think only distract from the story. I think it would be interesting if they chose to explore the whole 'translation' thing beyond the weird little 'Siha' thing we got from Thane.

And that's a good point about the lip synchronization too. Hadn't thought of that either. Even though having everything happen with a bit of lag would be kind of interesting I think. Imagine how awkward romancing Garrus would be if you had to wait for translation in between the quips?

It's the voice, and he's just so smooth. I mean, he asks you to go kill some guys, but then without missing a beat he nonchalantly asks you to take care to avoid staining the carpet.
