Cool idea! It is a bit on the simplistic side, which isn't bad, but a bit more detail on the towers/buildings might give it more personality. Beyond that, you captured the idea of this contest perfectly!

This conveys just how far we've come, but also how far behind we still are, this actually made me feel upset as well, knowing that this is the kind of future we should be living is, but we are still stuck in the past. In short, I hope you win.
