After each soft song,
I could hear crickets
I held my flute across my legs, being
not good enough to improvise to them yet.
I kept thinking abou tthisman I miss
trying my very best to pretend not to care half as much as I do
the record player plays everything
the tiniest bit too slow, but in some way,
the saddest feeling of comfort
is mine for now.
