I would say that Princess Celestia wanted Applejack to help Blueblood for his family Issues..Applejack being unsure about Blueblood whole character,,and Blueblood being stubborn in revealing his broblems,,it took time for them to bond and understand what they had in common that being thier love for their family.....this thing ties with my head canon for Blueblood adopted family
