Description
::::IF ANTHRO ART OR MALE MUSCLE OFFENDS YOU THEN KINDLY PLEASE MOVE ON TO SOMETHING ELSE, THANKS FOR STOPPING BY THE WAY:::Mike Lycaon is a pro wrestler first, bodybuilder somewhere between 5th and 6th, he'd rather be pulling out bones from sockets than pulling out poses so when his manager somehow convinces him to pose for a bodybuilding magazine, he ain't exactly happy about it.
I hope you like it.
Praise be to blender pencils.

It fits my profile perfectly: I love werewolves, who are wearing speedos, who are involved in any particular sport that requires wearing it. The bulge caught me the of pure amusement.

Thanks Aaron, I was worried using black colour pencil was going to ruin the linework.

Cheers Kensou, I'm trying out different facial expressions, plus I often see a lot of pictures where the character in question usually has a cocky grin on his face, just figured I'd try something else.

you are welcome buddy. Its a good way to practice with facial expression, I agree its more interesting then a cocky grin.

Indeed it is and I like to be different, hence why when most artists I know will be drawing pics of characters who are all "I have muscles, I'm the best" my characters are drawn as if to say "Yeah I got muscles, so what grrrr!"

Its mainly a trait in bodybuilders which they imitate from each other. I try to make my OC different. When he flexes and poses, he puts on a friendly smile as if to say "you too can become like this!"

I see, I wonder if there is such this as a grumpy bodybuilder, he's flexing his muscles but with a sad face haha.

Its pretty nice, I miss a bit more beef on the but cheeks, they look a bit small compared to the thighs.
Chest, ABS and right arm seem to be fine, only the right shoulder is somehow dislocated and misses the connection to the neck.Β
Also the left lower arm should narrow down to the hand, it looks extremely massive.Β

Cheers Lupus, thanks for your thoughts, I'm still a little nervous with how big my characters butt should be.
Sorry I can't respond in detail.

I absolutely love this man! It's just so amazing! And such an awesome pose... XD
And horay for blender pencils! They work wonders for blending (as the name implies XD) and they're great for trying to create more depth and tone. I used to use them loads but now I have to be honest, I resort to graphite nowadays when it comes to blending.
But anyway, well done on the great work as always man! I can easily tell that you're getting better and better. Keep up the hard work!Β Β

MoonlightStrider In reply to Woody897 [2014-10-06 16:48:11 +0000 UTC]
Indeed, it's allowed me to be a little more relaxed with where I apply colour I can easily blend it all in to make it look smoother.
I've been wanting to work with side poses for a while now, just to try and work with perspective.
At first I was a bit worried about colouring this picture, I was worried it might cover up the lines for where the muscles bulge out.

Woody897 In reply to MoonlightStrider [2014-10-06 17:02:48 +0000 UTC]
I don't see a problem with the lines for the muscles to be honest. It's perfect as it is! Then again, I can see why you would be worried about adding colour. That's how I feel about my traditional pieces before turning them into digital. But hey, it only helps to make them even better. So keep it up!
