Description

hi my name is ale and i'm here to make your heart ache-

I was feeling very angsty this morning for some reason...I slept badly. Listening to some songs inspired me to make this drawing. I don't really know the exact reason why Cogs is hospitalized..But anyways, have some bittersweet Lumiere-Cogsworth moment (lumiworth or not, how ever you like~)

im sobbing

I think. There was a study that people who had stressful jobs and less decision-making roles had a 23% higher risk of having a heart attack than those with less job-related stress. You could end up in the ER but it's unlikely.

AAAAAAA THANK

I'm crying right now since Cogsworth as a character means a lot to me when I was growing he showed me no matter how hard things get just keep smiling and you'll get through it, so don't let him die, please.

Don't worry, he won't die. Cogsworth as a character means a lot to me as well, since he was really one of the characters I related to the most in the movie.

Why...
Why does this keep happening...
Why do you keep drawing stuff as if you pulled it from my brain!? Like seriously, I don't understand how this works!?
Anyway, this drawing reminds me of an idea I had and never did much with a while back. The idea was a more modern story where the characters were teenagers rather than adults (original, I know). In the story, Cogsworth was living with Lumiere's family, but there was some sort of conflict (can't remember exactly what happened off the top of my head) that drove him to take off because he felt unwanted. Lumiere, of course, had tried to chase after him and instantly regretted the situation. But, by law of my writing, something had to go wrong, and Cogsworth was terribly injured in an accident. Lumiere was so determined to stay with him and try to make things right that he refused to leave when his mother told him that they ought to go home. It was a sad but heartwarming little tale, and somehow BOOM. I SERIOUSLY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS KEEPS HAPPENING?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
My god, that's sad..Cogs just can't get a break. ;u;
For me, I think it was a medical issue..an illness. I've always had this headcanon that because Cogsworth suffers with weight, he would binge and purge as a coping mechanism. It took a toll on his physical health and mental state and he ended up being hospitalized.

I've always been a sucker for stories such as these. They make me cry, yes, but it warms my heart to see some sign of recovery from the protagonists who suffered in the story. Especially when it's between Cogsworth and Lumiere; then I just start sobbing uncontrollably (i'm a woos)

I've also always viewed Cogsworth as a character with quite a few mental illnesses, depending on the context of the story. Usually anxiety, OCD, and anger issues. However, some of my stories feature other things such as depression and PTSD. However, there is one roleplay I'm doing with a friend where Cogsworth is specifically stated to have an extreme stress eating problem. Actually, I have a character with similar conflicts in my Wattpad series, named Whisper. He is very similar to Cogsworth, except more socially uncomfortable and not nearly as smart. Whisper struggled with a lot of things and didn't have a lot of people on his side. Whisper is yet another character with personal issues about his weight. There have even been stories where he tries as hard as he can to lose weight in the worst way. Characters like Whisper and Cogsworth are favorites of mine because they are characters that can and need to learn lessons. They're relatable, and it draws a reader/viewer into their conflicts. It makes us want to see them grow.
