How on earth are people able to make the decision of what eeveelution to evolve their eevee RP character into?! Seriously, the second I think I've made a decision, I change my mind on it and end up right back where I was. Ughhh.All possible concepts for what I might like my little eevee character, Asher, to end up as. Some are more likely than others, but it was still good practice to do all of them. None of these concepts are final in the slightest, more rough thoughts than anything else.
Asher's a fire-type delta, and I really deltas who are very subtle-looking. Maybe a clue here or there, but nothing too flamboyant. I figure that when he does tap into his fire-type heritage, flames ignite along parts of his body similar to Phantom. Still toying with that idea though.
He also has white toes like his mum now, because they're seriously adorable.
Also playing around with a new brush preset in Sai. Super fun to draw with, my goodness.

I love how they have a very fox like appearance. you are the first artist that I have seen do that, everyone else goes in the cat/dog direction. very cool, very uniqueΒ

I love all of these, with Leafeon and Vaporeon being my favorites. THAT is how shiny Leafeon should've looked, at least I think so, hehe. And the fiery accents on the Vaporeon are just gorgeous. Also, yellow accents look really good on a Sylveon. And the white toes are a nice addition, I agree, they really give him a lot of character. I find myself really drawn to how you drew the Umbreon's face and ears, makes me think of those Egyptian jackal statues.

Mmm, agreed wholeheartedly with the shiny leafeon comment. I actually don't mind the more subtle shinies out there, but man. I would have loved to have seen a more autumn-themed leaveon officially. Ah well, always fan-art for that. XD

Aaaaah, I adore all of these! Especially fond of the last row and that Umbreon, goodness. That face shape. <3 And the sharp, fluffy edges on the Leafeon are love. (And those long thin legs aaaa)

Why thank you very much Lupis! I admit, I think the Umbreon as a whole came out the best, although there are little details I'm pleased with in all of them. XD
Glaceon and Jolteon kinda got gypped a little when it comes to the small fiery details sadly. I think I ran out of ideas for 'em.

Love them all (especially his white toes!) but I'm partial to Jolteon XD.Β I also love him as Vaporeon with the orange tints on his fins and as a leafeon.Β But he looks badass as all of them XD I wish you luck!

I'm a complete sucker for colour and marking diversity in my pokemon, so I say yes to all of those things. I want to see spots and stripes and just everything ever around because that's way more cool than every pokemon sticking to one or two different shades.

Slight variations in Pokemon colors and markings are the best. I almost prefer making normal standard boring Pokemon characters (pff sorry Robin) because I love playing with color variations and subspecies and stuff like that. Hybrids are still fun to design though.

oh yeah and it applies a lot more realistic possible variation than "oooOOOOoooo my pokemon is piiiiiiink for no real reason other than why not?"
but you could really do some cool things with it. base creatures off of different sub species of real critters. I want rapidashes based off of like clydesdales. and tabby persians. a noctowl with a more barn owlish look.Β

Silliest? I think you mean the most ruggedly handsome and ma- nope couldn't finish that sentence with a straight face. I tried but nope, Sylveon!Asher just had to be a lollipop thrown into a box of ribbons.
Yeah, Leafeon is most definitely one of the three that I'm seriously leaning towards, sweet autumn colours (As you aptly put it) very much being a factor in that. However each time I think to myself "YEAH LEAFEON" I think on the other eeveelutions and go "WAIT BUT THAT COULD BE COOL TOO"

I feel like Leafeon would fit him best, personality wise. I mean, I can't really judge that too well because I'm not in the Johto thread and haven't read it, so I'm just going off of descriptions here, but Leafeon has always struck me as a naive but overall good natured little thing. Seems like it'd fit.

Well, to be fair that's pretty accurate, and I do agree with that general leafeon feel. At the same time though, I also like the thought of Umbreon as a sort-of representation of how far he'll fall into that Blessing brainwashing. Or something, ugh. At least I'll have time before this happens.

I dunno man, my inner hipster makes me avoid Umbreon cos I feel like it's the most popular Eeveelution. I mean, my inner hipster makes me avoid Eeveelutions in general because NO SILVA YOU GOTTA BE A COOL KID EEVEELUTIONS ARE OVERRATED MAN. But I dunno, I don't know how much you can do with the fire delta on Umbreon's design, really. I mean, it already had yellow. The only thing you can really do is make it yellower. I think the autumny leaves thing is too good to pass up. I just really like autumny colors.

Haha, fair enough. And yeah, I do admit that I'm a bit hesitant towards Umbreon myself for somewhat similar reasons, although it's less a desire to avoid the popular for popularity's sake, more an urge to fill out the RP roster with a greater diversity. I think we have two umbreons right now? More if you include characters that haven't been introduced. As much as my inner ten-year-old would like to play with the cool black eeveelution, the rest of me admits that's probably enough.
The idea I had for the fire type hinting for umbreon was to vary the rest of the pelt up a little, draw some inspiration from the cross fox colours. I'm sure there's more I could do, perhaps a little orange in the rings or something, but yeah, it's not that great of an opportunity as it is with some of the other eeveelutions.

There are a few Umbreons. Depends if you mean active or just in the sign-in thingie. We got Crowley, Ghost, and Rust, so there's a few.
Though a cross fox design could be cool. I love red fox color morphs.

I'm meaning active - I think three is more than enough for my sensibilities. Although, now that I see their names, I'm amused that all three of them are mutations in some way. XDΒ
I'm such a huge sucker for cross foxes, although I'm actually surprised at the variety in fox fur colours. Up until relatively recently I was only aware of plain red and the silver morph. Would never have expected to see patterns like platinum or the like. Very cool stuff.

Red foxes are animals bred for their fur, so I guess it kinda makes sense that they'd have a lot of variation. Y'know, minks have a TON of variation in their color, which is weird because most people when they think of minks (assuming they know what one is) think of some brownish little weasel-thing, but really they have a lot more color variation than that, seeΒ animalwelfarists.tumblr.com/poβ¦
Which could be pretty interesting for a linoone/furret/quilava/am I missing any mustelidy pokemon/ character
