Hoblins, or Hobbs, are a small, cuscus-like species, standing at about half the height of humans, ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 feet tall, and weighing between 30 to 36 pounds, with tails proportionate to their bodies. They feature small, rounded heads, and large circular ears, and possess prehensile tails covered in thick fur, which can vary from pure white to brown with spots or reddish hues, depending on the individual. Their eyes, resembling those of snakes or cats, have slit-like irises that can dilate to a full circle, displaying a spectrum of colors from greens to reds, oranges, whites, purples, or blues. The primary visual distinction between male and female Hoblins is evident when a female carries a cub in her pouch for five years. Hoblins typically reach maturity at around 20 years old and have a lifespan of approximately 40 to 60 years.
Hoblins thrive in arboreal environments, constructing their dwellings among the upper branches of trees. Their social structure is primarily polygamous, with typically three females to one male, although some display more monogamous tendencies.
