This is a bit of a personal post for me and also I want to reach out to other Aces!

(I'm asexual and homoromantic) here's my other version, I kept it that way above for simplicity:

Some of the struggles of being Ace is people saying being asexual sounds like a sad life, or straight up doesn't exist. I also hear "romance and sex is the same thing"
People automatically assume I want attention from men and encourage me to do things to get attention from men. It's kind of.... weird?
There's all kinds of other misconceptions about asexuality. Another thing I get is "you're confused," or, "you're abnormal." Someone at some point told me I was actually straight, which.. is also weird..

Final thoughts: I think we all deserve growth, whatever that may be for us. In my case, I suppressed my feelings because I didn't want to be different or "bizarre". So I tried to act like everyone else, and only discovered I was ace as an adult. And well, you can imagine how that went haha. Be yourself even if others don't like it! Cheers
