Description
I got a little break from illustrating cards, so I thought I'd take some time to revamp one of my oldest characters.

I also wanted to sketch out some tweaks to therdaq's anatomy in general and thought Wraithe would make a good guinea pig.

1) Closeup of her eye, design hasn't changed much, cross-shaped pupil surrounded by a ragged-edged iris on a black sclera.

2) detail of hind and front limbs of her beast form

3) detail of her teeth showing color of gums, tongue, and rapellae (rapellae are two tentacle-like feeding appendages all therdaqs have that are normally coiled at the back of the throat, when extended, they give the impression that the therdaq has three tongues) *note to self: do a study sketch on rapellae so people know what the hell you're talking about.

4) spread wing detail of her anthropoid form. Instead of attaching to the tail base like they do in her beast form, the wing membranes are supported by rodlike bone and cartilage extensions of her vertebrae.

5)Wraith's beast form showing her tweaked color patterns, also shows a size comparison with a human (lol stick figure) and her anthro form.

6) Wraith's anthropoid form showing her tweaked color patterns. Yes, she's still a she, I finally decided to ditch the false breasts that female anthro therdaqs used to have. Therdaqs aren't mammals, they actually nurse their young on their own blood instead of milk (lol vampire babies). Females in their anthro form still have curvy hips, womanly figures and softer facial features.

7) Wraithe's torso from the side, messing around with the shape of an anthro therdaq's ribcage. It's deeper than a human's, allowing more room for the wing muscles to anchor and the lower end of the sternum sticks out.

8) detail of hand in anthro form. A therdaq's palms and wrists are more elongated, adding length to their arms and allowing them to scamper around on all fours for short distances without looking too ridiculous.
