Oh I see what's going on. The vine works like an umbilical cord to sustain him
somehow. It's a great visual metaphor of being connected like the branch to a main tree.

I absolutely LOVE these paintings.
And from what I have seen, the character (and environment) greatly resembles that of my character, SKIN. But also, very different.
