I used Ultra Fractal 4.03.
How I made it isn't easy to explain at all. You have to be familiar with the program and even if I could tell you step by step how I made it, there would be an exact duplicate of my fractal floating around da. Not good

I use Apophysis... I'm still stuck in the stage of making stuff that's only in the middle of the image and that has no details.

It's a little intimidating when you first open Ultra Fractal, but if you follow the tutorials included and a few here on da, it's pretty simple.
