So I've heard that people don't know how to get the actual size of a group icon BUT I do so I am helping everyone out here.This is the size of a group Icon.
Group icons are 100 pixels wide and 50 pixels tall. So if this template doesn't work then you'll know how to make one yourself. ( Which you probably won't have to so don't worry ) I've heard this question a lot. "My group icon can't load even though I used your template!" well, if you ask that question then you didn't read my previous words. When you have your icon done then go into your group's main page and find the group icon above your name and chiz. After that hover the mouse in the corner of the icon and click the pencil.That should be it! ( Make sure the icon is 100 pixels wide and 50 pixels tall.Hope this helped!

Just as a heads up to people loading a group icon, it can take a LOOOOOOOOONG time to upload even if you have it right, so you may want to try waiting a few minutes before giving up, if you fit MoonStar's specs.

For anyone that doesn't want it to be exactly 100 x 50 , just make sure the size is (in fractions) the same as 100 x 50, like 200 x 100

I'm curious... how do you know if the icon is less than 30KB? Apparently mine exceeded that and it has less animation than a lot of group icons >~>

It's probably because of a higher DPI. You can try compressing your file.Β

is it strictly needing to be 50x100? not like 1000x2000 (i use around 3000x4000 in my work)?

The same way you set a normal icon. Go to the group's page, then click on the icon.

Ive tried changing the size on photoshop but everytime I try to upload it it says " We can't display this image to resize" help! I set the numbers up and everything too so i don't know why it won't work for me :/
