If it has become too obvious, I have low self-esteem. I'm not gonna lie, I'm fat. Not horribly obese, I'm perfectly healthy (my doctor's checked) but for the most part I'd have to say I'm so-so on the happiness scale
. But I see all these beautiful women on TV, inmagazines, and in books that it just makes me feel so self conscious. Not to mention my older successful sister is soo beautiful and well I'm not
.Both my nieces and my family say, I'm beautiful but I just don't see it. I can't count the number of times I look in the mirror and try so hard to see the beautiful person they see. The beautiful woman I want to be. I used two base that were from my good friend ~TokyoLynn , I did make the one base in the mirror a bit bigger to fit. I hope it doesn't break your rules,~TokyoLynn

. Yeah I know the outfit & make-up look odd, but cut me some slack. I've never used make-up at all before except for Halloween make-up. If you like please comment.Note: I've decided to leave it as it is, so far most people like the mirror effect.

The concept is good, and you did it so well.
I hope with time will grow to see the beautiful person I sense that you are. Your artists comments speaks volumes about where your beauty originates [not that you can get to know a person by one comment... that's not what i mean] but it was a very telling comment... you said other people "see it"... etc. you have people in your life who care about you, and the way you wrote it, and your art, obvious your art... your beauty comes from the inside out, and that always accentuates outer beauty, a personality always can do that, somehow.
I hope one day, you'll see it... I think you might. When your self confidence grows, you'll notice your beauty, or the uniqueness about your that makes you beautiful, and you'll be grateful for it.

Awesome work on the pic!! It totally illustrates what you're saying. And you did a really good job making the mirrors image.
I think everybody feels like that sometimes, at least I know I do. I think the best thing is to focus on the things you like about yourself and try not to let that other stuff get you down so much. It sounds cliche I know, but I think it might help.

Not just the media, I have a perfect brother and successful older sister. It's hard remember that when you have sibilings that seem to outshine you.

Yeah I do feel a little insecure sometimes. It's mostly because I'm about to turn 25 in a few months and I feel like I haven't really progressed much since high school. I had hoped that I would have my career on track by now but it's still slow going. So when I think about stuff like that I do get down. The good thing is I haven't given up on it and I know eventually I'll get there.

No worries friend, I'm not that low at least not all the time. Only if I'm having a bad day or I feel as if I'm being judged by others, which is probably why I don't go many places

well those lines really make the mirror effect instead of the glossy type

you can do that in photoshop it has a lot of effects, that help you add more into your art, that's why most of the people who see your art are surprised to read you did it in paint

If only building up self-esteem was as easy as listening to other people praise your looks. But you say yourself that it doesn't help make you feel better.
But remember! Looks aren't everything
As cheesy and cliche as it sounds, everyone is beautiful in their own way. The key is finding the one unique thing about you that makes you stand out from others. And EVERYONE has that one quality ^^
But if you still feel dissatisfied and think that people place a lot of importance on looks, try to think about it this way: The people who will truly love you are those that can care less about how you look. Your soulmate will love you no matter what, and he'll see your true beauty.
