If it has become too obvious, I have low self-esteem. I'm not gonna lie, I'm fat. Not horribly obese, I'm perfectly healthy (my doctor's checked) but for the most part I'd have to say I'm so-so on the happiness scale
. But I see all these beautiful women on TV, inmagazines, and in books that it just makes me feel so self conscious. Not to mention my older successful sister is soo beautiful and well I'm not
.Both my nieces and my family say, I'm beautiful but I just don't see it. I can't count the number of times I look in the mirror and try so hard to see the beautiful person they see. The beautiful woman I want to be. I used two base that were from my good friend ~TokyoLynn , I did make the one base in the mirror a bit bigger to fit. I hope it doesn't break your rules,~TokyoLynn

. The girl in front is me and the reflection is what I would like to look like
. Yeah I know the outfit & make-up look odd, but cut me some slack. I've never used make-up at all before except for Halloween make-up. If you like please comment.Note: I've decided to leave it as it is, so far most people like the mirror effect.

Aww, I love this concept and I think it's one we can all pretty much relate to.
And I say the same thing everyone else who commented on this said: beauty comes from within. You should be able to look at yourself in the mirror and say, "I'm a whole person and I'm me" and that should make you happy, cause you're just being yourself and knowing that's the best you can be.

I have relatively low self esteem too.
I'm not overweight. In fact, that's my problem. I'm really skinny and short and I'm always asked or looked at like I'm anorexic.
I truly used to believe there was nothing even pretty about me.
Your parents tell you you're beautiful, and I understand how that doesn't help- because as much as they say that they're not- you're always going to believe that they're biased.
The trick isn't to change yourself (believe me- I used to hate being blonde. I dyed my hair brown then red then brown, and guess what colour i dyed it last week? Correct- blonde. I just wanted to be ME again.)
And the whole 'it's what's on the inside that counts' doesn't help much because whilst that is SO MUCH MORE important- it doesn't fix your problem.
Try looking at yourself as if you were a stanger.
If you have a problem with the way your hair sits, then imagine seeing that look on someone you didn't know. If they said "I hate my hair" would you be able to look at them and think "What's she on about, it looks great?"
Or- make a character that looks kind of like you. Take the time to love how that character looks and then see the similarities you created her with. My character Marjue helped me, because we looked similar when my hair was brown. She helped me like how I look, and now I've dyed my hair blonde again and I feel like I still look like Marjue (even though I don't, really) but I'm now closer to being me again.
I don't know if any of this will help you,and If I'm just rambling on and annoying you, but it helped me. I hope it does help you. And I won't lie, my self esteem still isn't great, but it's better. Better's a step in the right direction.

You have a horribly socially-influenced vision of beauty. In my opinion, short skirts and cleavage-reavealing tops are kind of depressing and I actually prefer thr girl looking in the mirror (if she wasn't crying).
That said, it is a very good concept and I used to ahve the same problem as you when I was in year 7.
If I have only lowered your self esteem with this comment feel free to kill me now.

magazine models are fake, they are made up of photoshop and make-up
i know how you feel, i used to feel like i was ugly and fat compared to models and other women, but then i thought screw it, I like the way I am besides atleast im real not like those fake bimbos

All those women in magizines are just women caked with make up and photoshoped beyond belief. IE: [link]
See? No normal person looks like the one on the sign, and did you see how she originally looked? If you ask me, I still thought she was really pretty.
And another thing, a way to be beautiful is to believe you are beautiful! Don't let those models in Dove and Cover Girl make you think otherwise. Everyone is beautiful, no matter if you think you're not. Even if you don't, there will be those who always will. 
Just remember that one day, there will be that one person who will come along and make you feel as gorgous as you truely are!!

I've learned that if someone does that kind of stuff to you, more often than not, they're jealous of something you have that they want and can't have. I've gone through something like that before, and it turns out that she actually was jealous of me (she told me)

Oh gosh this is so sad...oh dear...looks aren't everything.
You're beautiful in your own way...you've already let me see you're beautiful by being honest about what you dislike...and what you look like. That takes some courage in its self to say something like what you've just said. Especially because being on the 'net people can say whatever they feel...give an illusion that they look like someone totally different to what they actually are.
I think this piece is symbolic to people that's why it's so popular. In a way we all have doubts about ourselves...we're never fully happy with our bodies. There's always something we dislike and/or feel we can improve on. Because you have actually expressed yourself about this, other people are taking comfort from your words and also sharing their opinions and opening up to you because they feel like you...
