Description
If it has become too obvious, I have low self-esteem. I'm not gonna lie, I'm fat. Not horribly obese, I'm perfectly healthy (my doctor's checked) but for the most part I'd have to say I'm so-so on the happiness scaleBoth my nieces and my family say, I'm beautiful but I just don't see it. I can't count the number of times I look in the mirror and try so hard to see the beautiful person they see. The beautiful woman I want to be. I used two base that were from my good friend ~TokyoLynn , I did make the one base in the mirror a bit bigger to fit. I hope it doesn't break your rules,~TokyoLynn
I've done this whole thing from paint, including the background
Note: I've decided to leave it as it is, so far most people like the mirror effect.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder actually! Love your digital image. You are clearly very talented. It's great to look good but you should be proud of your art and what you have achieved! Good to have a beautiful mind!

Oh goodness, I know where you're coming from. :/
My mother keeps telling me it's just a phase, part of growing up. I think it's much more. I'm already 17, and I still haven't grown out of my eating disorder. I can't walk out of the house, without my face covered in make-up. Most of the time, I can't talk to my friends without complaining about how I look. Everyone tells me I'm pretty, I just don't see it.
It's good to know I'm not the only one going through this "phase".

Wow, I love this and inner beauty and the beauty to create is a grace in itself as well. It's the kind that stays for posterity when physical ones fade.
As seen alone by this work, you have touched so many people when maybe a pretty face in a mirror would have touched a guy or two.
And many people feel low at times when we look in the mirror but I find as time goes on and you get older you see that all the cliches are kinda true. People will love you for you, beauty inside is what is important and family love unconditionally.
So be proud and keep up the great work.

It stinks to know your so sad, don't try to be a magazine image even they can't achieve it. Only thru airbrushing does it happen.
Btw I understand feeling fat or whatever, I actually am fatter than I should be adn i wanna lose weight but sometims I feel like if I do I'm just sucumbing to all the pressure. But then again I want to be healthy. So I understand the feelings of sadness.

I can see why this is so popular. Not only does it look fantastic, but it also has a deeper meaning that everyone can relate to. It says a lot about your level of thinking too.

This is a very beautiful piece of artwork.
I love the different character ideas in each frame. It is really lovely, I love looking at reflection pieces because they take a lot of skill to pull off and you pulled it off in such a great manner!

Opening yourself through this piece of art you created is what makes it so beautiful. I know what you mean. I'm so small and sometimes I wish I was as pretty as other girls too. I love this one. XD

This picture carries a sad message... But there's a beautiful lesson to be learned from the message in this drawing. Girls don't have to be magazine models to be beautiful.

I'll be completely honest here!
First, it's beautiful! I love it!
Second, I like the real girl better than the one in the mirror. Okay, so I'm the kind of girl who dresses up and wears skirts. (For the sake of looking cute, and not looking sexy because I don't LIKE sexy and people seem to think that lolita is "sexy" and that makes absolutely NO sense. Seriously though.) But I actually prefer girls who just wear casual clothes rather than going all out to impress a guy or... just to not feel insecure. They shouldn't feel insecure because they're more beautiful if they look natural. No makeup (maybe some, I dunno a thing about makeup), not a lot of jewelry. Just them. If anyone will reject them because they are themselves, then that person is a *bleep*. I won't say they're "probably just jealous" because they might say something like "Why would I be jealous?"
Okay, I ran out of words. Sorry. XD

This makes me furious.
THIS is how magazines and celebritys manipulate us. ''This is how you should look'' ''be This thin'' ''If you're not as thin as a pencil you're FAT''. Without really being aware of it we accept it, we feel bad if we Don't look like that. I'm so sorry you feel that way, I wish I could help you ignoring those stupid magazines.
I love this picture, great job

ritarevenge is right! but due to kind of life we live today most of people get to be like the girl in the picture..is a natural feeling that we all have "not appreciating ourselves" we only have to be strong and realize how beautiful we are to overcome it.
nice work

the girl in the mirror looks like a prostitute. real girl is decent. don't ever degrade yourself to thinking that you have to live up to men's or society's expectations. who cares if you're fat? are you so hideous that someone has litterarily thrown up in front of you? if you think your beautiful, then you are beautiful. smile at every person you walk past, do nice things for people, ask someone else how they are. this is how to stop thinking about your body and to avoid negative thoughts:
1. stop reading those stupid fashion/celebrity magazines. they are poison. read something like a nature magazine or TIME and see the rest of the world's situation.
2. get rid of, or avoid looking in full body mirrors or reflections. even if you want to know if what you are wearing matches your shoes or whatever. if your buying new clothes, ask a friend if it looks good or just ask your self if its fits comfy.
3. distract yourself everytime you think bad thoughts about yourself. clear your mind and true wisdom with come through...or just wear a rubber band on your wrist and slap it every time you think something bad or something.
do this for a week. it will work. dont give a crap about anything.
sorry if any of this offended you, but i reaaaallllyyy dont like it when people can think so negatively.
"be who you are. because the ones who matter dont care and the ones who care dont matter."
thanks for the fave btw
