I heavily suggest downloading this, since I designed it to be downloaded. The second part of this, explaining how to draw May, Dawn, Brock, and Gary, will be out sometime soon.

Something I forgot: put a space of two eyeballs between the eyes. I thought it was one, but I was going off of human proportions--I've been corrected to two. For those who aren't so big on a grid format, you can look at this image , provided very kindly by , for help in feature placement. This will be taken into consideration when I do the second page, so there'll probably be more information about eye placement and all that when Part 2 is up.

Please note: this is by far NOT the only way to draw an anime face. However, this is how I would draw an anime face, which is why I wrote it. I designed this for beginners so they could get a sense of proportion and then explore their own style from there. If the grid format is not for you, awesome! I, however, do actually use it in every drawing I make (yes, even the chibis had their faces quartered), so I feel it's the most useful way for any beginner to learn how to draw a face. I hope everyone finds it helpful...and if it isn't, I'm sorry about that. Please let me know how to improve.
