Description "I wasn't so sure about jumping off that dock...
I love swimming, but I like to come in from the shallow end first."

Mole Lake, WI (at our friend's house)
---------------------------------------------------

Moose is still a puppy, not an adult. Adult age is 24+ months *about the time they stop growing*, however he is not a young puppy either. Being over a year old places him as a teen/adolescent.

Breed info: [link]

He is a cousin to the Greater Swiss, Bernese Mountain dog, German Rottweiler, and the Saint Bernard. Descendant from a Tibetan Mastiff, English Mastiff, and a type of Mastiff that no longer exists.

He does not like to swim in rivers X3 just ponds, lakes, pools.

If the river current isn't very strong and the river is shallow enough that he can stand on the bottom with his head above the water, he will play in the river and or cross it, but after one shot at trying to cross a fast paced river he avoids those areas.

If he has to, he'll go all the way downstream until he finds a proper place to cross or all the way upstream. If there's any kind of "bridge" made (say beaver dam, etc) he'll gladly use that!

He prefers still bodies of water. Pools: has to be fresh water, not chlorine mixed. I don't want him in typical pool water anyway, but he himself can smell the chlorine and avoids it.

I have to buy a new kiddy pool >_> one he can't exactly destroy just by jumping in it.

The last one fell to its fate because he misjudged his jump and kind of belly flopped right on the edge. CRUNCH!
