why not reincarnate as a girl again? the fact that she's a boy now makes you look at it from another perspective. u could say that because the reincarnation is male, the principle of ying and yang is applied in order to keep the universe's balance...

I just spent the last half hour searching for this through new deviations. I saw it randomly somewhere and thought it was beautiful, but for some reason I got distracted and went elsewhere on the sight. Then when I went back to find it (I thought it'd be in the popular with 8 hours section) I couldn't find it ;o;! I love seeing the concept in such a literal surreal way though.

Wow. How much has every girl felt like that at one point or another. I wrote this pretentious poem like Junior or Senior year (in other words a very long time ago) that had a line about the boy rising like a phoenix, but from the narrator's ashes and she wanted to know why he hadn't risen from his own. Your piece is beautiful all by itself, but it did make me think of that.
