Promotional piece I did for the online RPG Thorns: Uprisings. We've recently opened up a new site for RP--The city of Thul Ka--and we're all pretty excited.Check us out at: [link]
A LOT of reference went into this one. Mostly for fabric patterns, the lantern, and the hookah/water pipe. This is certainly the most detailed watercolor I've ever done, and my first real try at patterns. So many other watercolor artists experiment with clothing patterns, I thought I should give it a go. More brush inking, I think I'm getting the hang of it, though I find that I have to redo much of my inks when all of the thick layers of watercolor finally go on over it.
