You're right there, the white tiger cubs look like big kittens. Just want to go up to them and act dumb. "Who's the big kitty, yes YOU are!! You are a big kitty," and gingerly pet their heads.

Or worse it stands up, raises a paw and smacks me upside the head, leaving 4 deep gashes in my skull practically going "TAG!!! you're it"
I'm a big feline fan. White tigers are one of my favorites.

Assuming I'm alive after that. Knowing the kitty, he'd be probably, be just there looking at me, going "c'mon you gonna chase me? you wanna play?* with the occasional pat with the big paw of his.
Hey you might like this little story I did called TIGER . Its about a guy who befriends a white tiger in the wild.

Yup! Singapore Zoo - it's excellent there. I seriously recommend people to visit that zoo if they're in Singapore. They even have a night safari (which i must go on the next time I'm there!)

The Orangutans we have here in Vienna are behind glass, so it's very difficult to get a good photo.
I hope the zoo will build a better place for them someday.

They've got em there too? Interesting. I wish Brunei would make a sanctuary for them here, i would definitely be the first in line to work there! But unfortunately there hasn't been any sightings (recorded) of orangutans in Brunei;s jungle - not sure about near the border though...very inland. The orangutan enclosure in Singapore Zoo is open..I'll try and upload some photos that I took of them there

Oh that would be great.
I've once saw a documentation on tv from a zoo in Germany. They've had two orangutans there, but the female died and so they put the male to the gorillas, because he was very lonely.
First, the gorrilas didn't acknowledge him, but after a while they treated him like one of theirs.

Seriously? When I read your message I thought you were gonna say that the gorillas attacked him or something horrible like that, but hmm..the gorillas must've thought it was some sort of punk gorilla or something haha. I remember the first time I had the chance to touch orangutans..at first i was sorta disgusted by the leathery long fingers but after a while it was pretty cool. Back then I was visiting this small zoo here in Brunei to learn stuff from the vet, and it was hilarious when the big male orangutans were spitting at the vet's back while he was talking to us. I have to say they have good aim!! haha

I heard, that there was just one male gorilla (the leader of the group) who was picking on him from time to time. But the longer he stayed with them the less problems occured. The lead gorilla is still not very satisfied with the orangutan, but accepts him somehow.
Lol, it must be very funny sometimes to work a lot with animals.

hehehe i wonder how the gorilla picked on him? I remember the orangutans i went to see , there were two..and one of them was playing in this empty potato sack - he was sitting in it and all that enjoying himself (not in that way hehe)...and then the other one perhaps got jealous and he managed to steal the sack from the other one. so i think the first one got annoyed hehehe becausee...when the second one was busy showing off to us and hanging from a metal bar, the first one slowly creeped up from behind him and then suddenly pulled him so that he fell to the ground hahaha. what was even funnier was when he got up and chased the first one around the place as if he was pissed off hahaha
yes..i think animals are so much fun to watch once their personalities show through hehehe they're just like people i think, in terms of each one having their own silliness hehe

The lead gorilla punched him - well, punch is a bit too hard, but you get the point. Or he would have shouted at him. Something like that.
