Gideon Klause, the one in the centre, is in charge. Unlike Larfleeze, who's corps is made of constructs, Gideon projects the power batteries as constructs. He's decided that the logical approach is to provide the batteries, that quell their will enough to serve him. If they good, he empowers that construct and it nourishes them, if they do wrong, they are hungered. As a result, they're unaware, but are under his control entirely.
