The weather's been crazy lately. Even here in Scotland we've got snow in the middle of March. And I don't think anyone needs reminded about the horror facing Japan. Even reading or watching the news about that brings tears to my eyes. I might not be religious in any way, but even I have prayed for the sake of the world. But you know, praying just isn't enough.

The thing that bugs me the most about this whole thing is the people who still refuse to believe this kind of thing is our fault; that global warming isn't real. Well take a look out the window. Because global warming is happening, and it's happening now.

I may not be the best to preach about being environmentally friendly. Hell, I'm using a computer to write this. But given the world we live in it's nearly impossible to get by without technology. And while I do use my fair share of water, electricity, petrol...I try. It's just a little effort but if we all make it then you know something? We can actually save the world.

I know you've heard it all before, written better than I've done it. Try and walk or cycle more, recycle everything, don't leave taps running or sockets on. But the thing is, it will help. And don't anyone say it's nothing to do with them. Don't say, I don't make nuclear power stations or leave every light on in the house or fly planes or go out and harpoon whales or whatever. And I'm sure you don't. But that is no excuse. Our planet is being choked to death, and unless you have a one-way ticket to a nice little home on the moon, then I'm afraid it is everything to do with you.

So, yes, continue to pray for the world. Pray for Japan, for the people who are suffering there, for the Libyian rebels and and everyone everywhere who's in pain and the whole world that's crying out for help. But while you're at it, pray for the strength to change yourself too. And pray for your own forgiveness.

Because it's not God's fault the planet is dying.
