Jay finished loading the saddle packs before calling out to his tokotas. They were on a mission to find this mysterious spotted moose. He had the pleasure of bringing one down before, but there was another out there and he was going to be the one to hunt it. Aurora, Monty, Storm, Azula, and a tribe member’s tokota left the tribe grounds and began their hunt. Monty and Storm, though blind, had keen senses of smell so Jay let them lead the way. Aurora and Azula heeled behind picking up on anything possibly missed.They had traveled deep into the forest after about an hour and reach the low marsh lands. It was common to find a group of moose feeding on the swamp plants. He called Storm and Monty back and let the other three take the lead, their sight would be the most useful now. Aurora was the first to spot a moose, but it was quite far on the horizon. Azula and her waited for the orders from Jay to begin to hunt it down. With a sweep of his hand they were sent off while he order the others to keep tracking to possibly find more prey.
