I don't know if your reason for the fire in the BG to me represent passion, that along with the light glow on the back of her, and her "evilish" physical appearance gives me the message of "the road to hell is paved with good intentions". I haven't heard this song by Utada before typing this so I wanted get this out before I did.

I like what you wrote. It's partially true, the passion of the fire, and the lighting in the back.
When I first sketched this on paper in 2010, I wanted to throw passion in it like saying "Have your revenge, come and get me...if you can." Smirking with cunning intent. As I colored it the saying went to "nothing is scarier than a woman scorn." Like she's evil because people made her that way.
And "Devil Inside" by Utada just made me feel like you're looking into someone's heart/soul. Into someone who tries to be an angel, but really everyone has their vice.
Either way it was a fun piece to work on. lol sorry for the babble.

I was originally going with a scornful woman when I first saw the look of her face but I saw you quote "or something like it inside", which changed my view to her being a victim of her own choices instead of her being hurt by others. Guess I went the wrong way on that forked road. After listening to the song I stand by my second interpretation with her hurting herself. Only because the song sounds like to me that it is an acknowledgment of one's follies and a failure to keep them in check.
What other reason is the comment section if not to babble? Sometimes you're too modest for your own good.
