Description

Ceylon grumbled, staring at the damp interior of the building. "S-s-stupid assignment!" He yowled, ears pricking at the echo that followed shortly. His copper eyes slid from side to side, searching for anyone --or anything that might come looking for the source of the yowl. When no movement was found, he visibly relaxed. There wasn't any scent of Infected, and from what he could tell the only living things searching through the abandoned human place were him and the other Raiders on the assignment.

Despite his best efforts to remain together, they had all split up in different directions. Ceylon had headed straight to where he had scented food. Well, rotting food. All the food, or what he had assumed was once upon a time food, was nothing but a pile of grossness.

He nosed his way to one of the many walls that were covered in shelves. This one was inset into the wall, creating a small cave-like structure. There was grating along the top that leaked semi-cold air, and Ceylon just stood there, half in and half out, enjoying the cold feeling. It was nice change from the otherwise humid and scorching weather he usually dealt with. Not that he was complaining; Ceylon loved that type of weather. It was his favorite, and he was made for it. With his short fur, he was perfect in any type of warm weather. But the nice chilling air was refreshing, and Ceylon opened his eyes to pick out anything useful from the shelves.

He noticed many odd colored items, almost all smelling of rot. He continued down the line, resolve to find something good deteriorating as the line of useless items got longer. He jumped from one chilled and inset shelf to another, nothing good immediately jumping out at him.

He moved on, boredom setting in, when something caught his eye.

It was predominately transparent, with a dark blue band around the middle and topped off with another blue object on top. It was mostly round, and about as tall as his head. He knocked it off the shelf, watched it roll for a moment, then leaped down to follow it. He sat back on his haunches, standing the object up, then peered at is closer. He batted it between his paws for a moment, then lied down to get a closer look.

He placed a paw behind it and watched as the image of his paw was distorted within the item. His eyes widened, and he smiled. The thing was filled with water!

He took it in his jaws and shook it, testing its strength. The object didn't rupture, but made a crackling nose as his teeth latched onto it. He enjoyed the feeling of the water sloshing around in the item, and then got a little annoyed. Why wouldn't the water come out?

He bit a little harder, and it crackled more. He dropped it, then clawed at it. It did nothing more then crackle under the pressure. He growled in annoyance, then grabbed it in his teeth and bit down as hard as he could.

The thing popped, the side gashing open and gushing water. He dropped it and lapped at the water, pressing at it with his paw to make it pour more.

He grinned, then looked up at the shelves to see how many of this magic thing there were. He smile faded. Despite the amazing amount of tubular objects, only a few were blue and had a clear liquid in them. He scowled, then shrugged. At least there was more than one!

He batted at the one at his paws, and seeing no more water within it, smacking it to roll away. He got to his paws, leaped onto the shelf, and grabbed another in his jaws. He gathered the others at his paws and knocked them to the ground. He bounded after them and nudged them along, starting the trek back to camp with his find.

I wonder how everyone will react. XD
