Rinni is quite shy and reserved around other people, but turns to her 'loud' and 'energetic' side once she begins to warm up to them. It takes a while before she could recognize the sarcastic tone in the words of others, but she doesn’t pay much thought to insults either way. She tries her best to speak and act 'smart' in public, using the words her brother had taught her, but this fails most of the time due to her speech defects.
Despite not finishing her studies, she is very eager to learn. For that reason, she is not afraid to take risks as long as it earns her more knowledge. Rinni still puts other people’s thoughts into consideration, however, as she does not want to disappoint them. This leads her to stress and over think about making the 'right decisions'.

When it comes to people she looks up to, she is very obedient towards them, sometimes to the point of doing ridiculous chores for them. With this behavior, she may be likened to a loyal puppy. //woof woof

Oblivious to her parent's whereabouts, Rinni and her older brother grew up in the slums with their great uncle—a retired veteran—along with other unfortunate families. In place of their sick relative, the older sibling did his best to work and provide for their needs. The younger one, unfortunately, wasn't able to finish her education and dropped out of school at an early age.

"Hey, little brat. I've got 20 more words for you." Rinni would perk up at the sound of her brother's voice, signalling his return from work. When he arrives home from work, the older sibling becomes her teacher, starting his lessons by teaching her 20 new decent words, explaining that "if you use these in public more often, your stupidity will be less obvious". In an environment like this, it wasn't a surprise to find out that her vocabulary consisted mainly of vulgar words and slangs (mostly her brother's fault).

Other times, however, were spent looking out the window and watching the other kids in envy, as her brother had told her not to come out very often, making up excuses like "What if the old geezer slips and breaks his arm" or "The other brats might turn you into an even bigger brat". Rinni was usually a very obedient girl, but...
What harm would these kids bring to her anyway?
By the end of their game of leap frog, Rinni noticed something spreading around her left knee. It was a... she didn't even know what it was, but it truly fascinated her. She ran home grinning to tell her new discovery to her great uncle, but paused midway when she heard a familiar voice—her brother was home early. The girl made sure to think of a good excuse for going outside before barging in into their house. Her brother was about to lecture her about leaving the house again when Rinni shook her tainted knee proudly in front of him. Her face fell when he gave her a horrified look, before dragging and locking her in her room.
Did she make the wrong decision again?
She heard him pacing around in panic outside her room, mumbling and cursing to himself. The little girl hadn't seen him like this before, and it actually made her nervous. Her anxiety grew even more that evening when she heard the door open and her brother walk in, carrying two large bags. "We have to hurry, we have to leave now."
She indeed made the wrong decision.

Clad in thick clothing, they walked through the dark streets in silence, until Rinni finally voiced out her confusion.
"W-where are we going? What about uncle?... What if he slips and breaks his-"
"Would you please shut up for once, you little brat! Can't you wait until we get there?"

She should have obeyed his orders.
Settling in a run-down shed, her brother finally explained that the "thing" was called a "color", and that it wasn't something she should be showing off so proudly because it was a disease feared by many—the reason for their leave. Rinni noticed, after some time, that a patch of color had started to spread around her brother's neck; she realized then how much she had actually been a burden to him. It didn't take long before the symptoms started to take effect on the older sibling. He lied in bed with an arm over his head, only managing to choke out a few words before drifting off to slumber. Looking at his pain-ridden face, Rinni thought it was time to repay for all the things he has done for her (harsh name-calling aside). She didn't let him leave the shed, and tried her best to find food and clothes for the both of them. Sadly, his body had already been weak from the start, and it gave up eventually. By then, Rinni had lost another relative.
"hide..color...gangs...find...help.." His words still lingered in her mind. Only then had she realized what he was trying to tell her.

She will obey his orders.
