it had nothing to do with me wanting to draw Quasi’s nerd room. 
Come now, he just had to be a Warhammer/Confrontation player! Or at least someone who enjoys gluing and painting such figurines.

A brother's gotta do what a brother's gotta do. My sister never gave me much of a chance to do that scene though, she kept hanging out with nice guys who respected her defined limits.

I don't think I'll explore that too much. you can see it in the movie at the end where he saves Esmeralda and breaks his chains and such.
I am a bit against overprotectivness and see it as a negative atribute if one isn't careful. sure we all want our friends and fammily to care and wanna protect us but in the end it's Rapunzel's choices. She has to experiance life too.
It's such a tricky thing to deal with in stories, just like jelousy and well "people secretly looking up on you". it can so easily be over done and stop being cute and start being scary and I am not skilled enough to walk that line I fear

I'm pretty sure, my favorite parts here where looking at Quasi's clean room as slightly opposed to Rapunzel's, seeing the Gargoyles, the lord of the rings, him gluing stuff together, Hulk on the shelf, and for some reason, the math book out on his desk.
