I know…I waried from the original design. BUT THE ORIGNAL SUCKED! And I couldn’t make him a big fluffy beast. So I just made him slightly scruffy. Not much but still, I tried.I tired to do a fumbling mashup of the original design and sexy fantastic drool-worthy design, fav.me/d36zy6a fav.me/d3dvqpx . that’s pretty much perfect but…I felt I had to try to keep it closer to the original… if only a little.
Oh come one! The real beast’s human design makes him look like a young, wasp-stung, swollen, Brendan Fraser who hasn’t slept, on a bad day… with weird hair. Me no like.
Meg. I love Meg. Megara is pop-goth, but she can still listen to KoRn if she wants! And she smokes. She has troubles at home okay! Nasty uncle she lives with. And she likes to dress prettily, and rebel against her bad uncle…yeah…deal with it, I like it.

I think that your beast looks cool! I read a comment below about the photo swapping in your country (really beautiful, I was there once). In Mexico we get the small pictures but usually your parents keep them all and they give them to your grandparents, aunts, uncles, and so on. Maybe you get one for your boyfriend/girlfriend.

Oh You must have a lot of family as a rule, we don't have big families that often in Sweden... it's not uncommon to just be that mum, dad, maybe sibling and maybe one or two grandparents... people so often get just the one kid late in life and family getting estranged....
Not my personal experiance but I am lucky
I don't know if that playground thing is still a done as maybe the schools have gotten a bit more sensitive about economical differences in kids lives and sorta discouraged it.

Oh, no. That is a swedish cultural diffrence I fumbled. I didn't get at the time when I made this comic that exchanging school photo portraits was a inherantly Swedish thing and no other nationality would understand what Beast is looking at

I, as a swede, forgot when I drew this that other countries don't always do or know about the same things as we. it's hard to realize when something is just ones own country's customs.
It is a cultural clash, a cultural miss on my part.

In my country, at least back when I was in school, we had school photos taken and then we could buy mini versions of those photos and swap them around and give them to people.
To me, Beast having a mini photo of Belle to look at, is obvious. It is not to any one else

You are not the first to wonder and I really should look in to adressing that so les speople get confused.
I mean you're brave enough to ask the questions, there are lots of people who would rather be confused or misinformed or just don't know then to ask a question because they don't want to be a bother or seem stupid or are just too shy.

Confresses? Public speaking? He is an inventor in the Disney movie and a trader in the original story. Maybe he mets people around the wirld to discuss inovatiins and changes? Maybe he just trades stuff. I donno.

Sounds more like he's an industrialist to me.
Which, actually, was what I'd always thought to be a good angle for his backstory in the 1991 film; a gentleman-industrialist, rather then a gentleman-merchant--it fits more with his desire to be an inventor in that day-&-age (in his workshop, we can see signs that he knew metalworking, and possibly carpentry)--he would have the knowledge and skills to custom-design and craft the parts he needed for his invention by himself (who knows how many disciplines he could have apprenticed in, but likely just those two--metalwork and carpentry)).

It might be a Swedish thing but when we had our school photo taken each year one can(or could, I'm long out of school) buy smaller photos and trade with eachother so one had a small photo of all your friends.
I think I was just a thing so natural to me that everyone had easy access to miniature photos of your classmates it just suck in to the comic. A cultural thing you know

ooh... meh not really, Americans have this 'year book' where there is stuff like 'prettiest smile', 'the best dressed', 'cutest couple', so on so forth (to be honest I only ever read my cousin's so idk all that much, but I think every school does that). The most I ever got was 3X4 pics in the yearly book, EVERY classmate from the same year as you, also your teachers, a big pic of mine and smaller one not 3x4, like medium sized.
