And the truth is realized at last...there is a time limit, and it's ticking away, on your deception/relationship!
Methinks it'll ring at the talent show, because he SO wants her to sing and she SO can't...perfect time for a reveal by the real singer! (Semi-similar to the crashed wedding in the movie, so perhaps that'll be the case) (Either way, the revelation you can't sing will sink the ship even if Ariel never opens her mouth)
(But you never know...as another Disney high school movie said of its mean girl "That girl's got more moves than an octopus in a wrestling match" - on more then one level it's true here.)
For true Mean Girl stuff, I'm wondering if Vanessa might try conning Ariel into her whole deception. But that'll never work. Among other things, it'll reveal the truth to Ariel, and that'll lead into a mountain of problems.
And, most of all, Ariel can't NOT know this - if she participates, she'll lose Eric forever. When the truth of your participation - or even knowledge and inaction when you knew - is discovered he'll be furious. If she sings, most of all, she'll have allowed him to get further into Vanessa's tentacles - er, claws.
The most DRAMATIC way about it is if Ariel does initially agree, too intimidated to turn it down, but then, at the last minute, refuses to participate in a lip-sync ventriloquy (whatever) deception - and sings on her own!
(It'll have to be something different, otherwise this whole recording thing could just keep going and used, so I'm curious what the 'reveal song' will be - heck, considering the boy is a player on the Snarfblats, it could turn into a duet!)

(Somehow, I think Vanessa's the one more likely to use submethod #2, but I'm sure we'll all root for Ariel using submethod #1)

The dialogue here is excellent my dear!! The repetition for Ursula is sublet and extremely forboding.
Also the comic relief is perfectly balanced at the end there. <3

I love the subtle hint that Anistasia is also being used and bullied. (A reference to her eventually taking Cinderella's side?)-Probably not. She doesn't deal with sequels-(Thanks Brain)

I made Anastasia the lowest on their pecking order because bullies bully.
Often Bullies were bullied too. The horrible bullies can seem to need to be mean and if their is noone else around they will be mean to each other.
In the Cinderella sequels, Anastasia is chosen to be the bullied one. By her family.
She doesn't become "Nice" until she has experienced love or the lack of true love, depending on sequel.
Here Anastasia bullies along side her sister and "friend" so she won't be the lowest on the pecking order.
There is no redemption in sight.
Maybe you can think she will grow as a person after high school.

Yeah. I'd like that. I know that Cinderella isn't your main story, but I do imagine that if you did it the moment Anastasia finally left home would be bitter sweet because that is the moment she realizes her life will be far different from her mother and her sister.

I love Anastasia's characterization in this. I like that she seems a little "less mean" than her sister, while Drizella and Vanessa seem to be on the same page.
