Belle is staying at Beasty-boys house, on and off while her Father is on business trips.
He goes on many trips and often, so she stays there often. probably has her own room.

Admitting and dealing with reading and writing issues can be hard, reading and spelling in particular is still associated with intelligence or lack there of. It can easily be a sore point.
Here though, it’s just the two of them and sitting and listening to your beloved’s voice and having an excuse to look at them for an extended period of time, doesn’t sound so bad.

They're always going to be number one for me. You could basically give me a library from Beauty and the Beast, and I would be the happiest female on the planet. I LOVE BOOKS. Ironically, my teacher told me about her husband, who has dyslexia, like you. ( I hope that's okay to talk about. Don't want to make you uncomfortable.) But anyways, he can't read and write, and he went to business school. Basically, she was trying to make me feel better about my Asperger's. I've gone from hating it, to wondering about it, to trying to accept it, having accepted it, and now I'm proud of it. It's like she said. Everyone has something. IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU'RE DUMB. YOU JUST HAVE A DIFFERENCE. For the record though,he could have been a little more patient.
Aside from that, I LOVE the human versions of them more than the human/animal pairings. Always thought Adam was hot as a human.

I have graduated University thanks to accepting my short coming and getting help to go around it. I read all the time these days, I get to do so which my hands free and can bake and draw and do all kinds of things since my reading is done through the ears. It's not all bad. I wouldn't be as apt at english as I am had I not lacked the ability to read fast enough as a child and there for missed all the movies and tv shows translation text..eh? subtext? that thing.
I still hate it, I want to be able to walk in to a bookshop and pick up a book I find interesting and buy it and read it on a whim, I wish libreries didn't just make me feel stupid and like a n outsider but such is life.
It's a million times better then it was as I was growing up without a myriad of audiobooks and only re-reading the few I could borrow from the library. I don't feel like the dumbest kid in the classroom and I don't feel like the black sheep in a family full of avid readers.
I'm good. most days it's amazing.

yay awesome comic page and some Belle/Adam relationship development going on. Just love how you take the scene from the film, which i only learned was in the film after watching a newer version of it that included the song "Human Again", is brought into a modern setting and just wonderfully put together. Besides I'm sure Adam is more embarrassed about reading a "girly" book in front of Belle, even if she did pick the book. Anyway, great job on the page.

You know I love translating scenes and the weaving of plots from the movies in to this quilt of a messed up comic
I decided he had a reading problem, he is a "problem kid" in the eyes of the school with a temper and seems to be rebelling, he could be rebelling his lack of paarents acting out in greif or abandonment but he could also be having learning issues and therefor feeling stupid and acing out and rebeling against that... just little thought. motivation to the characters. he isn't under a spell here after all

I have dyslexia so I had to work with a tutor who specialized in alternative learning styles for kids with learning disabilities for a couple years; I went from being dead last in my class to out reading (education level wise that is) all of them in just a few weeks.^^
That was when I was at a private school; I remember listening to one of my classmates in my English Lit. class during my Senior year of HS (I was in public school then) struggle to read a passage our teacher had asked him to read out loud to the rest of the class and thinking 'How the hell was he allowed to pass his previous grades to make it to 12th grade with such poor reading skills?' Seriously, he was pronouncing the word 'plague' as 'play-gu' instead of 'pleyg'. It was shocking how close he, a Senior in HS, was to being legally considered illiterate.

My experianse in getting my learning disabillity diagnosed was not as plesant, the special teacher/pscology thingie (word not found in english) that did the evaluation was... special in many ways. I was teenager who felt stupid and slow and didn't wanna be the wirdo who couldn't keep up and I am guessing her own problems drew her to her profession and she lacked tact and though I tried to be nice, I ended up resenting her (moving my own resnetment to her) for trying to not only dignose me with reading and writng disablilleties but, math disabilleties, consentration problems and on and on and on... She may have had reason but she didn't know ow to read people and it didn't work out well between us... I got my evalutation though and I hope with all my heart she never knew what a pain it was to go see her ever week for many months

I love this comic! And I know how Beast feels. I'm an avid reader and writer but reading out loud I can't seem to get the words out. Years people associated my inability to read out loud with my ability to comprehend the material. Which just wasn't true. I understood it and could explain it to you but if you can't read out loud in class/work you were looked down on.

Somehow I really get the feeling that he's not paying much attention to the words.
On a side note, I always hated that extra scene they added to the movie where he's listening to her read Romeo and Juliet, swooning over it like it's sooo romantic. Not only do they seem to not understand the final act of Romeo and Juliet, but man, his reaction feels forced. What you've done seems so much more in-character.
