I remember the Enterprise doing that same thing accidentally, in the TOS episode "Tomorrow Is Yesterday".

The Enterprise didn't float over a lake, but it flew through some clouds like in your other recent painting based on Into darkness.
*This* is more like when Voyager flies over the icy rings of some planet in the opening montage of Star Trek Voyager, if anything.
But in of itself, afaik this painting is quite unique... and pretty eye-catching too. Imagine sonding a peaceful early morning flu-fishing and seeing *that* coming towards you!Β Β

Amazing!
I know it's said that the Enterprise-D would never be able to do something like this⦠But do you think this Enterprise could do this, in real life?

My pleasure.
Well, if there was a way for it to do it, it would be perfect for some stories I've got planned.
