This took so frickin long...

Pain aside, I am EXTREMELY proud to introduce to you the first out of my four main OC's, Izegbe, my main dragon character.

I started forming her in my mind a few years ago when I went to Africa with my grandparents, and over the last few months it kind of came back to me, and I decided to follow through with her. I was incredibly inspired by the Maasai people, who our tour visited in a small village one day. Their jewelery is gorgeous, and Izegbe's earings were based off of a pair I saw.

However, there are a few errors that I need to correct:
-I forgot to put the colors of the colored earing beads in the color swatch. o^o;
-You can see that her horns in her full-body ref and her head-shot on top are different. I appologize for that. Please use the upper head-shot pair as a more accurate reference.

The Cody and Skall you see in her history are my two other OC's, which I'll have refs up for eventually. e_e;;

I thank you very much for making a critique for my work. It is very helpful and kind of you.

First off, the reason why I didn't put any shadows on her was because I wanted to focus the eyes on the main colors of her skin/feathers/etc. References usually shouldn't have shading because it can get confusing as to what kind of base color it would be with them. :0
And yes, I completely agree with you on putting more poses/angles in it would be much better, but I guess I was too lazy about that. o_-;

Wow she looks absolutely fantastic!! <33 I am totally floored by how unique she is. I adore her awesome wing style, I've never seen anything like it! Her color scheme and stripes are simplistic and yet so lovely. I dig the claws and foot design, as well as the tail and rolling motion it does when she flies. Her face shape is also unique in itself, with the pointed jaws and mouth D: and those awesome cheeks <3 all in all, this is a badass ref ;; i can't wait to see your other characters

I worked for good couple of weeks on her design. I took some of `thundercake 's character design tutorial to heart and tried to have around only 3 main colors.
I am very proud of her wings. ΒΊuΒΊ It took a long while before I was comfortable with drawing them. xD
