I don't think I've noticed your coloring before now. I enjoy the painterly approach to it. Makes it nice and warm to look at as well as organic. Lots of life it in, you know what I mean?

You're right, I should've put it that way in the first place. You work well with that, though. It's not noisy and it adds a lot of personality to your work. Keeps it from looking sterile, too.

That's one of the problems I have with digital coloring, most of it looks very flat.

I agree. Though I understand that people desire clarity in their work, it can really sap the soul of the artwork sometimes. That's why whenever I try to color, I want to mimic the appearance of traditional media more often than not.

It's a good habit to get into. Not to say that flat color can't be done well and turn out beautifully, but it's harder to pull off.

Also true. I don't know how to make flat color look elegant, but then again it's all about what you want to pull off in the first place anyway.
