Description This shows how I came to modify a Zero sprite (from the Mega Man Zero series) into a sprite to resemble Nightmare from Soul Calibur II (II specifically, hence the helmet-wings and the eye). I showed the process because it perhaps would be interesting for some to see. The sword, Soul Edge, appears a little different perhaps than in the game itself, but eh, artistic freedom rules, I guess? The demonic arm and the modifications that are not colour-based (the eye and wings) are all from scratch.

This. Is. Ooooollldd. Like, from 2005. @___@

Edit: I am currently working on a possible full sheet of Zero-based Nightmare sprites. Let's see how that goes, since I have been out of the business for a while now. P:

Hmmm... if it goes well I might even do some more Soul Calibur characters.

lol, yeap! Except not the usual kind of Nightmare Zero. O: It's just called that because I tried to make Nightmare from Soul Calibur out of a Zero sprite. It doesn't look as thick as Nightmare does with his big plate armour hulking all around, but it came out well enough for the kind of sprite it is.
