I have nothing against it or anyone who likes the show, but that's one that I just cannot get behind. It's too stupid-random and not enough random-random like Thurop's other show, Flapjack is.

I like a little more structure to my random than no structure at all; it doesn't have to be much, but just a little. Like the manga/anime Bo-bo-bo-bo Bo-bo-bo. It's every Japanese stereotype all at once and on crack, but it's got a vague plotline buried in it somewhere that adds that je nai sais qua that I crave.
(Seriously, I have no idea what it is it adds, and I have no idea why I don't like certain other random things when they're so darn close.)

And Dr. Barber is amazing! How can anyone NOT love a character who does surgery AND haircuts?! It's genius, I tell you, GENIUS!

I LOVE Doctor Barber! I too cannot see how he can go so unloved. I love his creepiness and his funny-ness and his surgery-ness and his haircut-ness...oh, his double occupation thing is actually a throw-back to the olden days, since that's when Flapjack's set, when barbers used to also be doctors and dentists. The barber pole was actually meant for patients to clutch during bloodletting procedures and other surgeries. = )

Hey, I love Zim. It recently started being re-aired in huge blocks though. I don't know if that means they're trying to convince Jhonen to start it up again or what, but it is on.
How 'bout Ren & Stimpy? Did you ever like them? = ) How 'bout newer, cult favorites like Nightmare Ned or Making Fiends?

I don't think that Jhonen plans to continue Zim though, on Twitter for a while, he was posting links to these blog things that were like reasons Zim was cancelled and stuff

Yeah, I know HE hated Zim and was not proud of it, but you never know, Nickelodeon could be tryin' to push him. 
Yay..! Nightmare Ned is one of the first TV shows created by Disney. It's about a kid who's haunted daily(and nightly = P) by his fears and anxiety in really cool creepy ways. Disney's pulled a George Lucas on it though, and wants to destroy all evidence of its existence. They even deny they ever made it. There's only 4 eps on youtube; the video game lives on, though. *is proud owner of a copy*
