Description
There are places I'll rememberAll my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more
Been missing my Pancake. A goofy, sweet soul, never angry or sad. But she's gone now. I miss her so.

OH! I'm so sorry. I hate that part of owning pets. They live such short lives. especially rodents. :,<

No really, I was lucky to have my beloved rat Wilbur live to be 5, which is unheard of.

wow. How long do they usually live. I know that may sound stupid for me to say owning 3 rats but I've heard 1 maybe 2 years to 4 years.

Most usually go downhill about 1 1/2 to 2 years and die by 2 1/2. That being said, I've only had one rat in the course of 6 years die before 2, and she was put down due to medical problems. My three older rats are all either 3 or above with the oldest rat I ever had being 5. This, however, is very very rare and I would never tell anyone to expect that. It's all genetics and luck, and good quality care.

I usually have peys of all kinds that live a few years to alot of years past there expected passing. My robo dwarf hamsters died at 2 years (not that long) but one of my normal sized hamsters live to be about 5, 6, 7 maybe even 8 years old. I also had a cat that was over 20 years old and another about 19 years and currently have 3 healthy cats going into their late teens. I hope my rattatas live long.

I sure do too, ratties are so rewarding to keep. I love them to death and breathe for my rats. They really are the best of pets.:3

I'm so sorry. Rats are great! Why do they have to die so soon?!?
The markings on her face are so pretty!

Can you believe that would count against her in competition? I don't like that, lol. She was a very good rattie and didn't deserve her death at all, not like any rat does.

It would?!? That's pretty stupid. It makes her look so pretty!
Why do rats die so soon and why do they have to suffer so much before they die?!? It's almost always suffocation from pneumonia or dying from a tumor. It's not fair! I've never known a rat that died peacefully.
