Hehe, yeah, the thing adults never explained was that of allthecrap they teach us that gets thrownouf a year later like "everyone wins" versus "try to be the best to win", they never explained that "practice makes perfect" was actually pretty true. That phrase needs to be given more credit. Gotta practice to make a talent thrive. I'm planning to practice bodies soon but I'm working on detail, design, and assthetic at the moment, sketching artistic things that come to mind.

True, true, afterall "Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes, art is knowing which ones to keep." We're all learning and practicing as far as artistic ability goes, and we improve every time we hold the pencil different, adjust the angle of the sketchpad, make extra designs previously unplanned. Artists are true students, dedicated to one thing; creating the non-existent. As more of an author than an artist, I really admire those who can take an image in their head and create it as I know know to simply describe it. In the end, the only difference is visuals as they both hold so much power.

Ahh, that describes it very well. Being my case that I find so difficult to put on words what it's in my mind-end throwing nonsense and stuttering-... therefore, try to draw it instead.
Each has its own merit and common object: express oneself.

With that said.. I used to think of Beyond being probably different of L at first -like having brown hair, other clothes- and after meeting L he has a radical change and start with the fixation. Though, I never remember to draw it or I get distracted.
But you know, I'd really like to see your version and read what you did!That'd be great~

Yeah, I mean, Beyond HAS to be different from L somehow! We just never get to see that. How people keep making him look like L makes me uneasy sometimes.... I'm kind of a huge L fangirl, you could say... >.>......<.<..... but a fixation with L sounds like something he could latch onto. Hey, I have, but gratefully, I am not to turn into L's successor nor turn into the murderous genius that is BB.

As for my fanfiction, it's in progress as a role play kind of thing, where you can make choices and go down certain paths, but here's the link to the first part of the prologue. If you get to my page and want to see the rest of the episodes, I put them all in one folder neatly together.

Oh, well, I used the word fixation because I think is the nearest to what I meant -spanish speaker mostly-. Well, for my part I draw B like it'd be a cosplayer of L, not the exact thing but pretty close. An OCD subject can be too perfectionist.xD
But then, the way people portray him actually CAN be of many ways since the novel just leave us with the thoughts of the comparison Misora did and Mello's description.-but when someone starts to talk of B having been burned almost to become coal, most of us look for the other side.x'D

I know! The novel really does leave you wondering, doesn't it? We keep wondering what happened to BB or what the story is behind him. Such limited perspectives on him leave so much room for imagination.

Feel free to comment when you read it. I try to update it about three times a week among my drawing time anymore, but hey, I AM going to finish it, even if it takes me over 50 episodes!

Glad you like the new B! It has to be different actually.... In my fanfiction, he still manages to live but he's been in prison.... Then he escapes. So he does need to change his looks to something totally different. Being the make-up master the novel sets him up to be, my version seems feasible. *shrug*

I'm just trying to find niches that have yet to be filled. Never mind me and my roaming curiosity. I have to play it out in my head and write it out to make sure it makes sense.

Fortunately, I have never really gotten into a fanfiction that ended up being discontinued. I stuck to reading one-shots. I know how most writing tends to go over. You have to be hardcore to finish a writing project. XP
